LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Differentiate between germline and somatic testing in cancers with actionable biomarkers.
2. Apply guideline-recommended biomarker and germline testing for lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers.
3. Examine potential care pathways to ensure timely genetic testing, correct interpretation of findings, and optimal steps relevant to treatment selection in patients with lung, colorectal, and prostate cancer.
4. Develop patient-centered communication strategies to explain the purpose, process, and implications of biomarker and genetic testing in individuals with cancer.
